Getting prepared to fight cancer is a crazy and daunting challenge in of itself, your world is flipped upside down and you have a few precious weeks to get everything in order and prepare yourself to simply let go and allow others to take over.

One of the many things on the list: how to keep everyone updated along the way. So we chose a blog…..a one stop shop for everything Elna. This site and the balance of its contents is subscriber based. The posts from here on out will be password protected as it will allow Elna to be Elna and permit each of us to stay in touch.

The irony of the name was just too good to pass up. Our girl may be one of the finest sprinters around but is also famously noted for saying “I already went around the track once, why would I ever go around again”.

Regardless she is now entering a metaphorical marathon and we are all her fans, cheering for her along the way.

What she maintains is the mindset of an athlete which gives her a mental fortitude most of us could only aspire to.

So with that, welcome to the journey. We pray it is uneventful and she gets through it with record speed.
